  • Advice..... well, check the vintage before you buy, and make sure it's from a reputable importer!  Wink

Take with you something to do during chemo -- a book to read, music with headphones, anything to pass the time.

I would recommend avoiding crowds from now on. The pandemic may not be what it was back in 2020, but chemo makes us more vulnerable to every type of infection, so you would want to minimise the chances of catching even the common cold. I'd recommend a face mask on every time you go out, not only inside the hospital.

Take into account the possibility of delays. Meaning, you may have to wait a while before you are called in, and a chemo session may take longer than expected if they have to run it slower, for instance, so best not to plan anything for right after but leave a gap.

wishing you a good experience on Wednesday. Slight smile

  • Hi Caroline, things are moving pretty quick for you,Im waiting for oncology appt and then ill start chemo, 2 lymph nodes, lumpectomy then radiotherapy, going to be quite a journey.

Wishing you well for the coming months x

  • Wishing you all well. I’m starting chemo next Tuesday.

  • This is helpful, thanks

  • Hi, I have the same treatment plan as you. Had my 2nd session of chemo last week, with 3rd on the 22nd April. Weekly from 13th May, then node removal, lumpectomy and 15 radiotherapy. I am just going to look forward to October, when hopefully treatment is over and I can move forward.

    keep positive x
