I have been diagnosed with lobular breast cancer which is also in my lymph nodes as well. I have a CT scan in a few days which hopefully will be all ok. I am waiting for a date for surgery for a mastectomy & lymph node removal. This has happened so quickly & is very difficult to process at times
Hi Scoobs
Welcome to the group! You're in the horrible stage where no plan plan is in place and everything is just a whirlwind. I hope you're looking after yourself. I'm 6 months into my diagnosis and it really goes get better once treatment starts.
I hope you get your date soon and I'm sure you'll let lots of supportive messages on here
Cheers
Lizzy
Hiya
Sorry you find yourself here but you’ll see everyone is so supportive and friendly
Do you know how many nodes are involved ?
It all happens so fast doesn’t it , you cannot wrap your head around what’s happening
Take it a day at a time and keep talking
hugs
love L xx
Hi, like you I was diagnosed very unexpectedly and things moved quickly. I think the worst part was waiting for the biopsy results. Also I found it hard telling family and friends, although everyone was incredibly kind and sympathetic. You may feel you can’t face having the same conversation over and over again, if so that’s fine. I picked a couple of “nodal friends” to feed information out to others. Feelings of shock can wash over you seemingly out of nowhere and it’s best to acknowledge them. I hope wherever you are getting treatment there are people on hand to help and answer any questions you may have.

Yes the hardest part is waiting for the results to come back. So I have the CT scan wait for results then hopefully move forward.
I too have close friends who I talk it through with hoping they can can talk to others for me

I will be having all the lymph nodes removed under the right armpit.
Im hoping once all the results are back things will become easier. ️
