  • Hi Linda

sorry to hear re your diagnosis , probably still in shock / denial , I think I was , and that you now find yourself member like all of us here - this is what I was diagnosed with in November

currently I’m having chemotherapy, prior to surgery , just had my 3rd , I started in December , 21 day cycle .

Have you seen the oncologist yet? Or do you have a treatment plan ?  I expect you’ll have an MRI booked next ? If you’ve not had one yet

Hope you have some support ?

ask any questions , lots of ladies ( gents) gone through various stages , and can help you with any specific questions in relation to the process etc , and what to expect, and what not to expect

  • Hi there, sorry to hear this. You’ll find a lot of great support on here for anything you need.  I found the early days were some of the hardest, once treatment started it was strangely easier.  Good luck

    Hello Linda,

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Did you have some indication after your tests or did it come as a massive shock?

I was diagnosed with the same as you on 8 Dec. I suspected so for me it was good to know what it was. The rollercoaster of appts starts.

I had a single mastectomy and axillary clearance 2 weeks ago as one of my lymph nodes was positive as well.

Did they give you an indication of your likely treatment plan?

Always ask questions and we are always here for support xx

Hi. I had a single mastectomy last week with axillary clearance to check the nodes. I was in the private system as the wait to be seen was so long in the public and I knew something was wrong.  This is a recurrence after over five years so I guess they will say I need chemo.  I have an appointment finally in nhs but only hope there is t a huge delay in getting the chemo.  I wonder if that makes a big difference?

it’s hard not to feel the fear… how do you all manage that when it comes up?
