hello i was diagnosed on 5th november but still awaiting surgery. right breast stage 3. \
Sorry to hear of your diagnosis, but welcome to this group, where I am sure you'll find lots of support and advice when you need it. I was also diagnosed with stage 3, but had chemo before surgery. Hope you have a date soon, I certainly found waiting one of the most difficult things to deal with. Best of luck
Sorry you've landed on this forum, n bc diagnosis. Do try to keep on top of getting a date for surgery. I know there is a backlog due to covid on NHS but do keep at them to make sure your case haven't fallen off the radar.
You've come to the right place for support, my chemo starts 4 Jan, and had a mastectomy on 9/11. Ask away if you have any questions about surgery but I am you're reading up the many threads on here.

dreading it as i already have lymphodema and consultant cannot say what is going to happen with my arm.
thanks for geetting in touch
hi. mine is right breast. but have to get masectomy and lymphs taken. no more tests, waiting for surgery 5th january. not really been told a lot.
5th will come around before you know it. All I can say is keep calm as i believe it will help with your healing afterwards. If you want to know how the op day is like then ask away then. In the meantime maybe pack a bag of stuff u want for a day. I had to stay overnight, but everything went pretty straightforward but I was the last in OT for that day and hadn't eaten from 7am to 7pm!! May not happen to u but just forewarning lots of patience is required.
I am sure you will have a pre op discussion with BCN so ask them what to expect. At least u have a surgery date! Good luck

I've heard that having a box in your room and just adding the bits you might need like lip balm, book, glasses, phone charger cable is useful.
I'm just about to get myself some front opening pjs, a couple of front opening bras and a shirt and a zip through hoodie as well as a heart shaped pillow and a couple of drain bags in order to combat the unknown and get myself organised.
Hi
It's awful.waiting for things to kick off..
The hospital I attended told me to take a dressing gown and slippers.
As a day patient I was moved to a reclining chair once I'd recovered from the anaesthetic and having a loose dressing gown to put on was warm and comfortable.
Possibly as I was a relatively fit day patient, I had to walk to theater in my surgery gown.
Hardly the height of glamour, so I was very grateful.for my long dressing gown and slippers
xx
Lol...you can pretend you're walking down a catwalk...rocking comfy wear winter collection lol
I stayed overnight..and barely used anything from my bag...apart from cereal bar for late night snack. And mobile phone charger. Then the next day I got into the front zipped bra and got given a softie, put clothes on and went home.
