Hi I’m new here breast cancer how did I not feel this large lump depending on my body scan consultant has planned chemo first and then removal . I am terrified my head is all over the place go to hospital on Monday to discuss treatment plan . So scared .
Hi Maggiedingle
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s perfectly understandable to feel scared, it’s a scary time when you are first diagnosed. However thing should improve once your have your treatment in place and you can start the fight back against this disease. Breast cancer is very treatable these days and you should find that chemo isn’t quite as bad as it’s made out to be though I won’t say chemo is easy.
I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer last year and after having chemo, surgery and radiotherapy I am now cancer free.
If you feel like crying or having a vent do so as it should help. Hi Maggiedingle, sorry to hear of your diagnosis, but hope ing you can find support in this group. As Daisy says, waiting is the worst for most of us.
I had a 55cm lump and felt very frustrated with myself for not noticing it earlier. I had chemo before surgery and I was lucky as it had not spread. My one piece of advice for your appointment to discuss treatment is to take a notebook and write it down. I certainly wasn't able to remember much of what was said afterwards. Best of luck x
Thank you and I definitely took my notebook my cancer is about 3.5 cm and grade 2 but has not yet spread so very hopeful.
I seem to be being called Maggie dingle not sure why. But thank you so much for taking the time to respond and I hope everything works out for you ️

Sorry you found yourself here...its a scary place to be and we all here know it. You will go through all sorts of emotions coming to terms with BC...but bear in mind it's very treatable! Do rely on others to help you and don't feel you're alone in this. Write up a list of questions if you have any.
With mine I didn't get the histology report explained to me and I had to go figure..everything will be so new to you esp the medical jargon.
Wishing you all the best and will be thinking of you on Monday.
