Hello everyone,
I’m waiting dates for 15 rounds of radiotherapy. I’ve been on and off here all summer without getting the courage to join in. I had a lumpectomy in August for a grade 1 T2 ductal cancer. It is oestrogen positive. I had 7 nodes removed at the same time and my margins were clear but they found cancer in one of my nodes. I’m 51, a Teaching Assistant and mum to four kids, 3 in their teens and one 22.
Luckily I haven’t had to have chemo as I scored only 16 in the onco dx test which meant my likelihood of recurrence was low and there was no benefit to chemo. I was so relieved.
This whole journey has been full of pot holes and teetering cliff edges. My feet may keep slipping, legs are shaking and my knees trembling and head spinning but I’m still on my way out of this mess ( I hope). Who knew it would make me feel so angry at times as well as lonely and afraid.
I decided to join just in case I can help even only 1 person feel less alone as it really helped me to feel a bit more normal when I read everyone else’s posts. Sorry I’m rambling on a bit.!

Hi Fussycup
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. No need to apologise for rambling on a bit it happens to all of us.
I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer last year and after 8 cycles of chemo, surgery and radiotherapy I’m now in remission.
Wishing you all the best.
Best wishes

Glad you've joined us. Don't wish to be cheeky but could you help another new member who had just been diagnosed with secondaries too. I've also put a link in that thread to secondary forum which you might find useful. There is also a lovely chatty thread been running years but new members join almost daily , just reply to post. It's called awake thread as started by those that couldn't sleep xx
Hi, I am 48 and have 3 teenage boys and was diagnosed on Thursday. I do not know any other information at the moment. Mammgram says 1.5cm and ultrasound scan 3cm so I have to have an MRI scan to try and confirm size. The waiting for the appts causes so much anxiety but this group helps me so much x
