I am new to the McMillan cancer forum and wish to say hello to everyone. I would especially like to chat to those who are Er+Pr+HER2-, metastatic, receiving Abemaciclib+fulverstrant+denosumab.
Hi 'I like coffee' and thanks for your reply. There are so many interesting posts here and it's heart-worming to see the success stories. xx
Hi Jayne, I did have the surgery 20 years ago, lymph nodes taken, 5 years on Tamoxifen but cancer came back in 2015. Since than I had Letrozole and after discovering metastases in my Liver I was put on abemaciclib+fulvestrant. Not all cancer come back and if yours did not spread you may have very good prognosis. Wishing you all the best on Thursday. Keep well and stay strong. Sonja
Hi Lisa, my cancer spread to lymph nodes first and the doctors stopped the spread with Tamoxifen for 5 years. Unusually, cancer came back 13 years later and since than I had Letrozole and after discovering metastases in my liver I was put on abemaciclib+fulvestrant. It's a new drug and I was interesting to see how others are managing the regimen.
I hope your mum is keeping well and that the drugs she's on are controlling the cancer. Wishing your mum and you all the best. There are so many new discoveries, fingers crossed they become a reality.
Sonja
Hi Sonja,
If your cancer is metastatic you may be better posting on the secondary breast cancer forum, there may be ladies over there that are on the same drugs. I have metastatic ER+HER2+ cancer and have just finished 6 cycles of chemo (Docetaxel) and will continue with three weekly injections of hormone targeted drugs. So similar to you but different drugs.
I hope someone on the secondary breast cancer forum can help you
