Says it all really ^
Fed up with seeing my wife suffer.
My darling wife has been fighting the big C since the New Year.
Aggressive bugger which means she'll need chemotherapy until this time next year.
We're obviously not thrilled and I am apparently moody
Hi , I am so sorry to hear about your wife's diagnosis and how it is impacting you both. It's hardly surprising you are moody, in fact I'm surprised you're not more than just moody. It will be tough on you as well and you will also need support.
I think you would benefit from posting on the carers only forum where you can chat with other carers who will be going through what you are going through. You can click HERE to go straight to that forum.
You must make sure you look after yourself as well as your wife, for your sake as well as hers so do seek more help if you need it. You can also call the Macmillan Support Line on 0808 808 00 00 if you need to. They are available 7 days a week 8am-8pm.
Maybe also encourage your wife to join this forum as talking with others who are going through similar to you is often the best form of help and support.
Wishing you and your wife all the best.
Thank you for the kind words and support.
We're plodding along and still laughing most day's. It's just a very long road, and tough sometimes.
I accidentally set my name as Phol, last night. My name is Phil...I think

Will do.
Sunny in Bristol too.
Both of my brothers live in Wales.
Yes good day so far I have just put my hot tub away for the winter my grandsons won't be pleased as they use it like a padding pool they are 5 and 7 ! Moved my tomato plants off my patio they were getting all messy , end of fruit production I suppose. Have you are your wife found that you do things differently since diagnosis I'm trying to eat more healthy and exercise more often . X

It's great that you have projects to keep you occupied.
We try to get out as much as possible - dog walks and visits to family and friends.
However, my wife is a teaching assistant so work isn't viable until her treatments finish. She is enjoying light gardening and also a crochet machine. Teddies, blankets, hat's etc...
Hi Phil
Good to hear that the moody mood has lifted and that you are able to get out and about to do things together. Long may it continue. When frustrated at the length of treatment just be glad the this is available on the NHS for those who need it. Have a look at the Carers forum as Godwilling has suggested and use it and here to vent, if need be. Better out than in.
Take care of yourself
Wishing you both all the best.
