Morning, I’m new here, I had breast cancer 32 years ago resulting in a mastectomy, i was 36 years old and had four young children (7, 5 and 2 year old twins) I had a reconstruction 10 years later (wish I had it done sooner) they did a great job. Last year I had a melanoma on my leg, they did a biopsy first, then went back to have it removed, it took quite a while for it to heal, but it’s all good now thankfully. I am so grateful to still be here, I am in my late 60s and very active, I play golf as often as I can, usually about 3 times a week.
I would like to wish all the people that are going through this now, the best of luck, and stay positive and keep looking to the future xx
Hello GolfingGranny,
You have a wonderful username. Unlike mine which is probably quite indecisive (or not).
It is reassuring that you survived breast cancer and have had at least 32 years of life since then.
It will be interesting to hear what advice you have. Thank you. xx
