I have had a lumpectomy and sentinal node removal earlier this week and all went very well. No pain at all. However, I don't like taking medicines as I am afraid of the side effects and how they canake me feel and have no control over. So the idea of being on drugs for the next 5 years is proving to be a daunting challenge to get my head around. Do you feel as ill at the end of 5 years as at t
beginning of the drugs or do you gradually get used to them? I can't imagine feeling nauseous for 5 years
Has anyone got any positives for me to hold on to? Thanks x
Hi Kizzy57
Everyone reacts differently to the drugs they give you under treatment. So you won’t necessarily have any side effects but if you do and they prove unmanageable you’ll be able to contact your BCN or oncologist and they will try to find an alternative to the drug they have put you on.
Wishing you the best of luck with whatever meds your medical team will put you on.
Best wishes
