Hi. I was diagnosed with TNBC Grade 3 in March and have been having chemo ever since. Lump was less than 1cm and chemo had shrunk it to the point where it couldn’t be found on the scan.  I am only supposed to be having 2 more sessions but I have found another lump in my ‘good’ breast. I am absolutely terrified and can’t see anything other than the worst possible outcome. My daughter is 3 and I can’t even manage to be around her without breaking down. No question really, just reaching out.

  • Hi r1ebs

Welcome and sorry to hear that you’ve been diagnosed with TBBC. Sorry to hear also that you found another lump. Do get it checked out. Hopefully it’s nothing serious.

Wishing you the best of luck with the rest of your treatment.

    Best wishes

  • Hi, I know it’s easy to say but try not presume the worse, it could be something completely innocent, but of course for your own peace of mind you need to get it checked out.Have you sorted appointment to get checked?

    Sending good wishes x

  • Hi I am sorry about your diagnosis. I was diagnosed with TNBC in Jan. What I can tell you that it is very unlikely the lump in the other bteast is somethinh bad. The reason is because your cancer has already replied to treatment and this means chemo is killing the csncer cells. During chemo, lots of hormonsl chamges happen to your body and the lump you have discovered will most likely be the result of those changes. I did find a lump in my other breast and told my oncologist but she didn't seem worried and said it is hormonal. It disappeared in a week or 2. Do check it with your medical team but don't get stressed over it. I hope this helps Xx

    Thank you x

  • Please get it checked out whilst there is some truth in previous persons reply it is possible to have different cancer in opposite breast I know from personal experience ,

you are on treatment and have easy access to medical tests to get it confirmed it is harmless, I am sorry to have taken away some of the reassurance you were given but I am glad I pursued my good breast lump. Breast cancer is getting easier to treat.
