Hi I’m not new to this site but would appreciate some advice or thoughts of anyone who’s experienced anything similar.
I had my 4th EC chemo session 8 days ago and have felt queasy ever since, I’ve been taking the Domperidone regularly but last night had the worst vomiting and diarrhoea I’ve ever had.
it was pretty constant for a few hours and I took the emergency anti sickness med I was given that goes between your gum and top lip and after a few hours it was “just” stomach cramps and retching.
I guess I’m wondering whether 8 days after chemo to be sick is normal? Or is nothing normal?
im now scared so will be going back to eating little and often and sipping water and continuing with Domperidone.
should I phone the unit and just let them know this has happened?
I’ve now got 4 sessions of paclitaxel and I don’t know if I can cope. I’ve been told that vomiting isn’t a side effect of paclitaxel- does anyone have experience or tips for getting through this? Lxx
Hello Monalisa 1869. Sorry to hear about your side effects. I'm having chemo too but not the same medication as you, however I've been told to call the unit to let them know about vomiting/diarrhoea so I suggest that you call them this morning to let them know what's happening to see what they suggest, and you need to be careful about getting dehydrated too so drink plenty of water if you can x
