Hi, this is my first time posting and I'm looking to see if anyone has shared a similar experience to what I'm going through. I was diagnosed with Grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma ER+ Q8 HER2- in December last year. I've had surgery and chemotherapy and am due a 2nd operation early next month followed by radiotherapy. I have been working in health care before my diagnosis but realise I need a new career and am looking to start a part time course in October. Is this realistic if the radiotherapy is finished?
Yes! I worked throughout chemo, lumpectomy and radiotherapy. I had a job interview during radiotherapy and started the job about 6 weeks after completing rads.
Go for it!
