I had to wait over a year for reconstructive surgery because of Covid and 6 months later still feel like the bride of Frankenstein ...
Hi Sash70
I do empathise with how you are feeling and having to wait for the reconstructive surgery due to Covid must be 'adding insult to injury' type thing.
It's obviously upsetting you enormously - can you get in touch with your BC nurse to see if they can offer you some counselling to help you feel better about yourself? I know it doesn't solve the problem of waiting, but if you can feel a little better in yourself during this time it might help a little.
If not - can you give the Macmillan team a call who could be a good sounding block for you and be able to offer some advice. 0800 808 00 00.
Kindest wishes, Lesley
