Short version diagnosed with DCIS in October last year. 2.5mm but substantial lumpectomy in December. Found necrotic cells in the removed tissue which took me to high grade. Radiotherapy in February.

My breast is still really sore but I understand it could take months to settle. I have just had my first post treatment mammogram appointment through for 17th August. I wasn't expecting it to be quite so soon.

Worried that I'm being called in early...or is it?

Sore boob being squished is making me nervous. I'm planning on making sure I take pain killers before I attend the clinic.

Any words of wisdom?

Many thanks Blush

Hi Deb36 no its not early the first one is usually a year after surgery so as that happened in October last year it is just a few weeks short of the year which often happens and I don't think that is anything to worry about . I agree with you though about the painkillers as it can be more painful fr the first one. But hey after that it's party time  till the next one. xxxx
