I am having chemo following a lumpectomy and removal of lymph nodes and have just had my 2nd round. My hair started to fall out quite quickly so I took the decision to shave it off. Since then I have been having trouble sleeping because my head has been so sore. Yesterday I bought a silk pillowcase and last night I slept perfectly. It was like a miracle, I hadn't been able to lay my head on a pillow before now but last night I experienced no soreness or discomfort. My lack of quality sleep has been affecting me badly so to be able to sleep soundly again it just so amazing. I had read about silk pillowcases but now I know they are definitely worth the expense.
Hi Knuts welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have managed to keep very positive throughout the treatment and that's great to hear although you seem to have some of the dreaded side effects from all the chemicals that get pumped in to us.
That's really interesting to hear what has worked for you and I'm sure sharing that with others will help them as well. I'm so glad that you have found something to help with your sleep there is nothing worse than not getting sleep. Plenty sweet dreams ahead now though and thank you for sharing this. xxxx
Are they real silk or satin? My daughter uses satin as she's vegan and she told me they stop wrinkles & acne !
