Hello, I have been diagnosed with right Breast cancer, also in limphnodes under my arm and also bone cancer in right arm. I also have a lump in my left kidney.
So far Ive had breast and lymphnode biopsies, which I am still waiting for some of the results. I have been told that im getting a long nail put in my upper arm to stabalise it. I had left breast hormone receptive cancer in 2007 for which i had a lumpectomy done.
I live with my partner of 20 years and my 16 year old son. I have 2 other boys/men who have left home now. Its all this waiting thats getting to me. Its so different to last time, where i was in so quickly.
Just to say 'Hi' Scareytimes
To be honest, I don't think I can imagine the stress you must be going through and, yes, the waiting for results and to hear treatment plan etc.
I can relate better to you having a nail down your upper arm, as I was (retired) Orthopaedic nurse so can understand how that should strengthen your bone to help prevent fractures.
I've had lumpectomy and RT in 2021 and opposite side too- earlier this year
I do hope you hear your treatment plan very soon. The breast care nurses / MacMillan will be your best sources of support / information etc. I hope you find lots of support from your friends and family
I wish you all the best
