Hi everyone, I am 67 years old and have had a mastectomy for HER2 positive cancer stage 2. A shock to the system, but wound has healed, just a bit of swelling or seroma left. Luckily I have not needed any other treatment so far. My symptoms were, nipple discharge and inverted nipple. I was lucky to be diagnosed quickly, but find it very isolating not being able to attend any help centre to talk about it with fellow sufferers. I guess there must be lots of people feeling the same way. Anyway love and best wishes to you all.
Hi Ann I wonder if groups will begin to start up again when the restrictions are lifted on July 19th.
I know I'd find a face to face support group really beneficial. Maybe keep an eye out for local ones or ring round/email to see when they're opening.
I bet your breast care nurse may know too.
Take care
