NEO-21 any advice as to which way I am to take will be great ... thank you xxx Tracy x
Hi Gracee
Basically, only you can make this decision. Have you talked to close relatatives about it, explaining the pros and cons? Also, you could talk to the Breast Care Nurses about it, or someone at MacMillan
I was on a trial re Radiotherapy, sometime ago. Whether the 'arm' I was on was any better, or worse, than the original, or other 'arm', I'll probably never know. I don't think there was a huge difference between the three 'arms' (one being the control group, of course)
There'll be no pressure on you to be included in the trial and, possibly, not much difference in outcomre but it would seem you need to talk to people who understand what the trial is about, what the risks are (if any) and how it's expected to behave with regard to the original 'arm'
Sorry I can' t be of more help but only by talking to professionals 'in ther know', will you be able to decide. You can only go with what you feel is right for you
Good luck
