Anastrozole

I'm new to the forum, hello. I'm 54 and had mastectomy and a diep flap reconstruction in 2019. Been on anastrozole for 18 months and noticed the hair is thinning a lot, getting worried I will lose all my hair, has anyone else had this problem with the medication? Many thanks Shirley

    My partner has recently  been prescribed Anastrozole by her oncologist. Hair loss can be one of the affects of taking this drug. Side effects can start within a day of starting Anastrozole apparently. This is because Anastrozole lowers total body estrogen levels by about 70%
    within 24 hours of starting the drug, which causes side effects similar to those of menopause, such as hot flashes or difficulty sleeping. via Drugs.com.
