This may sound silly! but what kind of clothing should you wear after a lumpectomy and what can you do and not do??

Feel abit in the dark about after...

  • I wore loose cotton clothes and front button pyjamas for bed.  I wore a sports bra in the day and supportive vest at night as I’m not very big, but found this comfortable.

Do what you feel you can, for me it was short walks day 3 after surgery ( I had an overnight stay) and then longer ones building up gradually,

I did my arm and breast exercise 3 times a day. And avoid any heavy lifting, hoovering etc. But I as able to potter very quickly and make dinner etc..

Everyone is different so rest when you need to and take things easy for a few days after surgery. Some people can drive the next day, I waited a week or so, but felt quite well and occasion paracetamol helped with any discomfort. Some people are pain free others need something stronger. So my advice is listen to your body.
