Hi I was referred to breast clinic in late Jan. I had one slightly scabby nipple in august but 2 GPS one of whom I trust gave me separate examinations and it was put down to heat and running bra. Cream cleared it but I noticed the nipple sat back about 1mm when I took my bra off so kept an eye. January it got flaky so I called GP who referred me to Breast clinic where I was seen 14 days later. Surgeon said no noticeable changes on exam but agree could feel a lump which I had discovered the week before. Reasonably certain only appeared start of 2021. It had no clinically concerning features but off to radiology. Radiologist did 2 mammogram and ultrasound debated with trainee about biopsy but seemed credible to me when she said I had baggy milk duct. Plan to review me a month later. I went back determined to get a biopsy for conclusively. Surgeon anyway said he wanted one. Different radiologist eventually found some tiny nuances on tissue. Weds I went back, invasive ductal carcinoma. Just going in for MRI. Hello

    • Hi Historywoman,

No not the best start. I can see why you’d be annoyed by this prevarication and delay. Well done you for being persistent!

Hope your MRI results are as good as they can be. At least you’re on the right track to treatment and recovery now.
