Hi, I started fec-t last Friday, wondered if there was anyone else on same path to pass advice, chat and moan with? Bone pain my biggest challenge so far .
Hi
Noticed you had no replies to your post.
When I was going through chemo I got lots of support from others going through the exact same treatment on the chemo site. To get there go to Diagnosis and Treatment under Breast Cancer and usually at the top is the link to this. I checked and it’s headed Feb & March&April 2021 Breast Cancer Chemo.
I am sure you will find lots of support and companionship there and you can share experiences.
Hope you find it ok. It was a godsend to me.

Hiya,
Hope you are doing OK after you first chemo. I had fec back in 2012 and this time doxetaxol.
I suffered with a lot of sickness on fec so if you are having any side effects at all please speak to the nurses. There is plenty they can give to relief them.
As for advice, I found diet coke coke rid of the horrendous metallic taste I had and always had it on standby. Drink plenty of water/squash all the way through.
Bone pain seems to be a common thing and apart from the usual painkillers I personally haven't heard of any tricks that get rid of it. Again speak to nurses.
I have a 10 year old and it's hard. Trying to keep things are normal as I can but not always possible. It's tough as well with the school holidays as I try and sleep when she is in school so bit more chirpy when she's home.
Take it a day at a time and it will be over before you know it x x x
