I have been told by the consultant doing the biopsy that it will need surgery. What do you think they saw straight away, without even waiting for results?
Im thinking that they must have either felt something or seen something on an ultrasound or mammogram which they need to get out and dont want to leave.
I had DCIS removed in July 2015. Mine appeared on mammogram as two small areas of white dots, one 10mm and 5mm. The smaller area benign. I had WLE excision (lumpectomy) followed by 3 weeks of radiotherapy. Click in my name to see my story .
I have a DCIS diagnosis. When they did my biopsy they acted like they were sure it was but never said it exactly. Nobody knows till the results come in. Sending you a big hug xx
