Hi, on Friday I was told I will need 6 rounds of EC chemo followed by 5 weeks radiotherapy also Bisphosphonates and Letrozole. Needing bone scan and picc line before I can start. Feeling overwhelmed at the moment if anyone has any advise please hit me with it, I also have MS so fatigued already so worried how I can get through this.

Hi, Is your radiotherapy once a week for 5 weeks?  This is a much easier form of treatment instead of going every day for a week or 3. The only advice I can give is to rest as much as you can and forget about the housework.  It isn't the end of the world if the dust builds up a bit.

Unfortunately it is everyday mon-fri for 5 weeks, needed it with boost as margins were not that big I think they said. I had results after sample went to USA for onkotypye dx which came back at 31, I had already decided to have chemo if it was borderline but was over anyway.

I take my hat off to you having to go through daily treatment.  I couldn' t have done it so would have forgone radiotherapy if they couldn't come up with an alternative.  I honestly don't know how you are going to cope with the MS as well.

Just look after yourself and only do what you feel you can.  Take as much help that is offered and ask close friends and family for help if you need it.

  • Hi Penny

I’m recently diagnosed too. Sorry you find yourself here.   Scheduled for WLE surgery on 6th April. All new to me so can’t say much about your treatment plan. I have RR MS. It’s natural to worry about it I think.   My surgeon said he had treated several MSers and they had coped as well as anybody else.  Sending you a big hug xx
