Good morning

I am 7 days post surgery and still getting leaking from the where the lymph nodes were removed.
I am not sure if I may be doing much with my arm. The surgery was on my dominant side.

thank you

    Hi Dotty21

funny I was going to post the same.  I am 12 days post surgery and have a similar ooze.  I had mastectomy and reconstruction all at the same time.  I was going to give the BC nurses a wee ring tday.

like you I think I have been doing a lot more than I should with my arm we both may need to take it a bit easier tday!

    regards gillian

    Hi ladies,

I experienced fluid leaking from lymph node biopsy as well as breast WLE site, both were due to seromas, I sought advice from Breast Nurse who drained both  seromas which resolved problem, for me this was approx 2-3 weeks after surgery. I know that some surgeons prefer not to drain seromas and instead wait until excess fluid is reabsorbed naturally by body. I made sure I continued with arm exercises .

    Hope this helps

Take care and if you’re concerned give your breast nurse a call, sending well wishes

    Dotty

I had to have seromas drained off by the nurse twice, then gradually my body started to absorb the fluid and i have not had any trouble since, 2 and a half years later, apart from a bit of tingling. I had all my lymph nodes removed.
