Hi everyone, I’m new to the group and recovering from mastectomy and node removal. I have now been told more surgery is needed for node clearance. I dont know if I feel lucky or not that it’s within weeks of the first surgery because I’ve not recovered from that yet I do feel lucky to be under the care of such a great team though concidering there is this pandemic still about. I was diagnosed at the end of Jan and first surgery was end of Feb.

Welcome to the group NannyJean, So pleased that your surgical team are taking good care of you on your personal roller coaster of this disease. I had complete node clearance with my first lumpectomy (22 years ago !) but only the sinus node and lumpectomy in 2020 on the other side.(.No connection between the two ) Treatments have changed considerably since my first encounter as you will imagine.See my profile if you wish by clicking on my name. If you fill in your profile ,if you wish , it helps others know your story and help/support you as much as possible. I am sure others will be along to help-we are a very friendly lot! In the meantime while you wait for dates of your second op, I would suggest you take a look at some of the other threads on here under the chat heading.
