Morning not long been diagnosed and been through loads of tests biopsies and now got a date through for my operation. I feel like my world has collapsed today especially I feel really emotional can anyone give a bot of advice?

  • Hi . Sorry you find yourself here.  Early days are a difficult time but you'll get through it.  What surgery are you having and do you have a full treatment plan yet.  If you click on my (or any other members) name you'll see our profile x

  • Sorry that you have had to join the club. I felt exactly the same as you, it came out of the blue following a routine mammogram and you are just never ready for that diagnosis. Random thoughts go through your head, like never seeing the grandchildren grow up, not visiting family or doing all the things you enjoy doing. Everything can seem black and scary. Talking keeps me going, to friends, family and on here it’s therapeutic and just try to deal with each day as it comes. I couldn’t sleep but found a lavender pillow spray helped, also indulged in doing what I wanted when I wanted without feeling guilty lol like knitting and crocheting or watching tv during the day. The process for me has been very quick, I had a mammogram on 10th December biopsy 31st Consult 13th and surgery on 28th January. Radiotherapy starts 31st March. However you are feeling be assured we all feel or have felt the same.
