I’ve just joined this group so wanted to say hi, just been diagnosed with breast cancer and hoping to get all the help I can get xx
hi 46, got told today I had cancer I'm just waiting for surgery I'm having a lumpectomy then I'm having radiotherapy after, mind is running wild. xx
Hi Lizamarie,
I‘m in a similar position. Lot my lumpectomy this Monday 22nd. Hopefully won’t need chemotherapy, but will be having radiotherapy. I find it helps taking it one appointment at a time. I’ve had a few other complications along the way but it definitely helps just going from appointment to appointment and not over thinking it. Xx
bless yeah, I'm going in on 29th he did say I didn't need chemo but wasn't ruling it out, I'm just so glad they not hanging around with the appointments its all so quick
Yeah everything happens really quickly. As long as my lymph nodes come up clear I should have gotten away without chemotherapy. I’m all ok, but I found out I was pregnant the week before my original surgery date of 5th March (totally unplanned!!) then unfortunately miscarried 2 weeks later, and the breast unit have been fabulous throughout. No matter what happens, they will be on top of everything for you xxx
im so sorry to hear that, you had it all thrown at you xxx
no I go tomorrow for pre op then in on 29th the op, I forgot to ask when I have to have radiotherapy so much going through my head at the time xx
