I joined today because 3 years ago my mum had a mastectomy. Whilst it was the worst day of our lives, on be known to us my dad was riddled with lung cancer and died a year later! Tragic I know! So fair to say she hasn't wanted to go to any support groups etc.
Now she's been a rock all through lock down on her own. Coped really well.
But now has worries about the cancer coming back in various places. When asked about it she brushes it off.
She does have a follow up consult in April so she can ask. Do I wait or do something? I'm at a loss.
Is this a natural thing she has to go through. All be it 2 years down the line.
And advise would be appreciated.
She seems to have postponed her grief of her body for the grief of my dad.
Were both worriers sorry! Haha
