Hello all I’m new to this group, I’m just recovering from last weeks surgery. I’m still getting my head around everything as it’s been a complete whirlwind since diagnosis 11/2.
I don’t understand why I feel so depressed I was very up beat before surgery.
Oh Juella,
I’ve just been diagnosed with breast cancer and have had biopsies and MRI/CT scans yesterday. Awaiting my consultation with the breast surgeon in a couple of hours to tell me when my surgery is.
I can’t imagine how I’m going to be as brave as you! I’m trying to keep a lid on this fear but its threatening to boil over all the time.
please don’t beat yourself up about feeling depressed, the whole thing is so traumatic!
I’ll send you positive vibes if you can do the same for me.
Remember, if you’re going through hell, apparently you just have to keep going and you’ll come out the other end.
Stay strong my friend.
L
The whole journey we are on is like a roller coaster with the up bits going through treatment and the down bits waiting for the next stage to happen. Rest when you can and don't try to do too much too soon. Keep up with the exercises you will have been given and build yourself up for the next stage be it chemo or radiotherapy. It is normal to feel a bit down but try to see this is a journey which does have an end.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
