I am new and have been diagnosed with triple negative invasive ductal tumour, stage two. The whole thing frightens me so much. Up and down at the moment with anxiety appearing out of nowhere, just when I think I am coping well Hope it gets better. Sure it will improve when treatment actually starts. It’s all this waiting which is horrendous.
The triple negative scares me so much
Hi
Welcome to the forum, although equally I'm sorry that you've had a need to find us.
You're not alone with the feelings you're experiencing - we've all been there from the first day we're hit with the news /awaiting the news that we have cancer. You are right, things do get better when you know what your treatment plan is. I can remember saying when I finished my treatment that the fear of the treatment and the unknown was worse than the treatment itself. I didn't have triple negative, I had ER+ stage 2 the same, but for ER+ there are instances where chemo isn't needed and I was lucky to avoid it.
The best advice that I can probably give is to just take one stage and one day at a time - try not to think too far ahead and come on here as much as you need, people here will be the only ones who truly understand what you're going through mentally and physically.
It might also be an idea for you to join the triple negative breast cancer group where there are ladies who have the same diagnosis as you.
Kindest wishes, Lesley
