Hello folks,
I travel on Monday to get a mammogram an ultrasound to find out if my lump in the left breast is cancer. Thing is I have been through this with my mum, an I watched her go through three separate appointments where they did lumpectomys but didn't get it all an then eventually they decided to give her a full mastectomy on her right breast. So I watched my mum go through hell an back. But. My mother is still here today.
So I have standing hope that all will be fine, even if it's not the best news in the world on Monday. I have the genes to fight the battle and win the war
Hi and another warm welcome to the forum. Great to know that your mum came through it all but it must have been very hard for you. Don’t immediately assume that yours will be the same. Most breast lumps are not cancer, and if it is, treatments are developing all the time and each treatment plan is individual. I had numerous ‘false alarms’ before I finally got cancer!
Wishing you well for Monday, let us know how you get on. Sending love and a big virtual hug, HFxx
Hi , I just wanted to send you some virtual hugs before Monday and hope that you get good results from your tests. IF it turns out to be cancer please be reassured that the treatments now are very much improved and new treatments are being discovered all the time.Try to take it all one day at a time (not easy I know) and I hope you get some indication on Monday as to the diagnosis or not of breast cancer. As HappyFeet1 has said most breast lumps are not cancer. xxKwissy
I have moments when I think totally irrationally an cry uncontrollably (thankfully, usually alone) but on the whole am.on the it's going to be just fine side. Thankyou so much for your support an massive virtual hugs back, will keep you posted for Monday xx
