Hi, I got diagnosed with bc in Jan 2024, had chemo, mastectomy with reconstruction and radiotherapy. I've been in remission for 18 month, but have started suffering with peripheral neuropathy in my fingers. Saw oncologist last week, who told me this is unusual, so long after chemo has finished. He sent me for ct scan on my brain, which I had yesterday, today I have mri on my spine. I feel extremely anxious at the moment and have a fear of secondary breast cancer.
Hi Daisy24
I have peripheral neuropathy. I had some when I stopped treatment but it became noticeably worse, starting about 5 months after treatment and escalating from there. I suspect there’s little real world follow up on how it develops after treatment has finished. Hopefully your scans will be clear and it’s just another consequence to be managed.

I have metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer, in remission
I have more problems with my feet than my hands. I always wear running or walking shoes for stability. I haven’t lost feeling it’s just the feedback is odd. With my hands I find it difficult to pick up small things. Ends just feel woolly.
