I assume you meant Accord brand? There have been hiccups with it from time to time. Once I found the chemist had problems I asked GP to request that brand on my repeats which he was happy to, always allowed a week for the pharmacy to get stock and it usually worked ok. Often useful to try and build a stock in hand, too. hugs xxx
I haven’t been able to source Accord either, even though it’s on my prescription. I accepted Sun last time as l can tolerate them. Unfortunately the pharmacy is now unable to supply those either, and offer no hope in the near future. Just waiting to see what turns up.I relied on an independent pharmacy - the only one around, but they have been taken over by a big name, and just get what they are given when they order.
I have always found it difficult to get the Accord brand especially from the larger pharmacy chains. I was told by an independent pharmacy that they make a loss on supplying Accord as it's more expensive than other brands. However , the small independent pharmacy was able to get mine a couple of weeks ago in packs of 14 tablets rather than 28. I now make a point of buying additional items off the shelf to help offset their loss. A while back I visited 18 pharmacies before I managed to get the Accord brand. It's exhausting and stressful
I wonder if the Accord brand is more expensive since it’s apparently the closest to the original Femara? Perhaps they are still paying back the research needed?
