Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in February 2024. I had a partial mastectomy then chemotherapy and then radiotherapy which finished at the end of November 2024.

When undergoing treatment I was of course tired as we all are as we are going through it however at the moment (some 16 months since chemotherapy ended and 14 months since radiotherapy ended) and I am exhausted. I went back to work last August and I’m finding it so very hard to manage the fatigue.

Does anyone else feel this way?  I am so lucky to be here and healthy and I know that but the overwhelming fatigue is really taking its toll!!!

  • Morning everyone can I ask how did you make the decision on what surgery you wanted? And how your recovery and did you make the right decision. I have 3 choices, 1 take full breast off ,2 cut out the cancer and cut the other breast so they will look the same or 3 cut out the cancer and stitch it up .I really don't no what to do .

  • Have you had a full blood count recently ? I felt so tired anyway I requested a sort of mot from my GP and the results came back iron deficiency, went on iron tablets and worked a treat .
The operation and treatment take a lot out of us. Xx

  • I’m surprised you’ve been given a choice … I suppose I’d have to think what type of cancer I had  and size , I had a lumpectomy as was quite small when found.
