Hello,

Does anybody else find they are forgetting things and losing things?

I haven't started any treatment yet only had a lumpectomy but I am finding it very difficult to stay focused on anything.  Plus my mood is very changeable one minute I am like a cwtchy puppy the next I am a rottweiler.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated:)

  • Hi  youve had a scare with the diagnosis and then surgery which has an effect on the brain anyway, so give yourself that cwtch that’s needed and be patient with yourself!

But rest assured, bc treatment now is so good that although it’s scary, you’ll be in good hands and will be cared for (in spite of the NHS being so over-pressured)

this is a great site for help and extra nuggets of information too.

    hugs xxx

  • Thank you Moomy. I don't think menopause is helping.  I have to say I have had fantastic care from NHS during this. And the people on this site are so friendly and helpful. It makes you appreciate that you aren't alone xx

  • Hi Beagle1aeea5, I had a lumpectomy and then was put on Letrozole. I’m struggling as I am getting very forgetful to the point that it’s really starting to worry me. I’m not sure if it’s down to the breast cancer itself or the Letrozole but I’ve read that it’s possible for each of these to cause brain fog. I hope that you’re soon feeling better.

  • Three months of chemo, and I don't even get upstairs before I forget what I went for. I've normally forgotten by the second step. I'm spilling things and dropping things too. Hands are working fine for crafting! I seem to bounce from wall to wall too On occasions.

Three times! What did I do?

  • Hi Crystal

Thank you for your reply. I am going on Letrozole after radiotherapy too.

I hope you feel better soon

  • I am so sorry. I hope you feel better soon.what kind of crafting do you do?
