  • Hi, I must admit I don't know if there is any difference in how men and women react to these drugs, but you might want to give the lovely folks here at Macmillan a call on 0800 808 0000 to chat this through. Best wishes

  • Hi

im having both of these, no problems with goserelin, this pushed me into the menopause as i was pre menopausal, I’m quite lucky i just get hot flushes. I had a very upset stomach on abemaciclib so much so that i couldn’t really leave the house and got very dehydrated. i’m now on the lowest dose and still can get an upset stomach when eating too much veg and whole grains. it will be one year in april since i started and have just in the last month or so began with peripheral neuropathy. on the whole it’s been ok once i got the dose lowered, i’m back in work since May last year and had lumpectomy, reduction to match and radiotherapy. i was diagnosed with stage 3 progesterone positive eostrogen positive HER2 negative at age 49. good luck with whatever you decide on.
