Gum infections/tooth loss

Hi, I was diagnosed with peridontal disease and 50% bone loss, lost all my top molars, had partial denture that i could not get on with so recently had the remainder of top teeth removed and implants fitted.  Now just waiting till my bottom teeth need to be removed :(

Hi S4maa I know this doesn't help you now  , but if anyone else reads this and is having radiotherapy treatment (I didn't have chemo. so can't say if it makes any difference), but I very luckily had an appointment with my dentist just after having my lumpectomy and pre radiotherapy.  She actually gave me a prescription for Duraphat toothpaste to start using immediately to protect me during the radiotherapy treatment.  I already used an electric toothbrush and she said that I should use Corsodyl mouthwash rather than the one I was using.

I have had no issues with my teeth since - 7.5 years post diagnosis.
