GET IT CHECKED!! Your GP will fast track you if they feel you need a mammogram. Better to be found early, than delay however, you could be worrying about nothing so get peace of mind (one way or the other) soonest. For me, I went to GP before Xmas 2021, she agreed about my lump being ‘suspect’. Referred me to hospital for mammogram which was done on 4th Jan. 2022, confirmed as cancer, mastectomy 17th Feb. All v quick and altho sad, for me, it was/is not, the end if the world. I wish you well and a very quick turnaround. Best wishes xx
Phone your GP today and get an appointment earlier if you can. If it’s a mammogram you have booked in for this month those results come back usually with 2-3 weeks. They will then take next steps from there. It s really worrying, and the wait can be the hardest part. Sending love and hugs
Thank you for taking your time to comment, I have an appointment at the breast clinic on the 16th of this month I’m not sure what’s it’s for though my doctor felt the lump and then decided it’s best to get checked I’m not sure if it would be a mammogram on the letter it just says breast clinic appointment, sorry to hear about your diagnosis and on the other hand thankfully it all went quick for you i wish you a healthy life xx
Hello Cyprusfav thank you for your reply, I’m not to sure if it’s a mammogram I had a letter through the post and it just states a breast clinic appointment on the 16th January but no other details other than that l, thank you so much I think that’s what is really getting to me the waiting it’s horrendous xx
I had a similar experience in my early 30s. They did a biopsy which, when tested, showed no sign of cancer. It was quite big so they decided to remove and test again and it was benign - a blocked milk duct. So it’s not always cancer. Don’t waste energy worrying - I know it’s easier said than done. Try remain positive. Xx
