Hi. I'm new to the forum so not sure where to post. Ive also posted this on another thread so apologies for that. As usual I'm lying wide awake !!!! I've had 3 cycles of kadcycla after having chemo, op and radiotherapy for breast cancer. It came as a shock to know I needed more treatment after being given the all clear. I'm struggling to get my head around it a bit. It's not as bad as first chemo I had but im getting a few side effects which is bringing me down a bit. Not sleeping really doesn't help. Hope it's OK me posting but I'm going a little bit nuts here xxx

  • Hi there, welcome to the forum and this is the perfect place to post. It must be incredibly disappointing to realise you needed more treatment. Hope you're coping ok with the side effects, but do shout on here if you need advice, support or just want to rant. I am sure you'll find it a very supportive group. And the lovely folks at Macmillan are always on hand too, you can call them on 0800 800 0000 to chat through anything. Best wishes.

Hi there! Well I came down at 7am to see you'd posted in the early hours for which I’m sorry to hear. I can only conclude it’s a ‘maintenance’ treatment to keep the C at bay but you’ll only know by asking/phoning MacMillan.  Are you on long term drug, ie Letrozole?  It’s a pity we can’t shut down the thoughts and live a peaceful life! Glad to hear tho that the chemo is not giving you too many issues. I find my local C group is a God send for either chatting and listening and forgetting my ailments. Hopefully there’s one nr you? I really wish you well x
