Getting ready for surgery

I prefer the Amoena for night time but the cancer research for daytime. I was given a Frances post-op in the hospital and it was a size larger than I normally have, due to swelling (I had left side mastectomy with immediate implant reconstruction) the swelling is not just in the breast but also on the chest.

I got a free bra from the lovely Macmillan nurses at hospital. You can also potentially get post surgery bras at marks and Spencers or Asda and don't forget to check you get vat free

I had a mastectomy and immediate DIEP a few years ago. I used the the Amoena bra (or something very similar)post op and it was very comfortable. I also had a M & S front zip sports bra. I used a pair of firm support knickers - they really help the abdominal wound. XXxxxx

I bought my bras from Asda. They are online and in the shops. 2 pack for £16. My surgeon and breast team said they are the best they've seen. One pink and one  grey. Front hook and eye  fastening which is adjustable with removable padding. Pants I got from M&s and just "short" type. Good luck and thinking of you xx
