  1. Quick back story, Was diagnosed in sept 21  (after being misdiagnosed since April 21) mastectomy and SNB (1/3 positive) Nov 21 26mm invasive with a total of 92mm (non ivasive and invasive) was due to start chemo in the Jan 22 but my youngest DD got covid and then so did I, so chemo was deferred until Feb 22. Started chemotherapy last week, having 5FEC-T and then on the 4th cycle I will start Herceptin.
  2. Just really wanted some positive vibes tbh as although yes I know my cancer has a positive outcome at the end of all the treatments (consultant said 98% survival rate for the next 10 years), it is a very scary place to be especially when I have children at home and my partner lives elsewhere, it's harder that I am not allowed to bring anybody with me while I have the chemotherapy due to covid restrictions etc. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok. Thank you for reading x

Glad you managed to see your daughters and could eat something.. hope you have a good night tonight xx

  • Morning.

Aww thanks. Ended up with the runs again during the night just seems to get worse in the middle if the night. I was sick too so got another antisickness injection.

My 2 wee sisters are coming up today so will be good to see them too. Told hubby to have a day off as its nearly an hours drive here. He's said he's going to do his chores. I am lucky to have a good hubby, been married 43 years and he has always been there for me no matter what I am thrown.

Managed to eat a wee bit of breakfast but was just saying to my friends I must have lost weight what with running to the toilet and not eating much for a week. Not a good weight loss plan. Rofl

How are you feeling today? Do hope things have settled.

    Sending hugs xxx Heart

  • Hoping everyone else are doing okay and side effects are not too bad.

    Have a good day xxxHeartHeartHeart

So sorry to hear that you're still having stomach issues. You must feel really fed up.

Good that you've got a good hubby to support you though...43 years. Such a long time. We've been married for 36 years..37 in August. My hubby is always there when needed too.

Enjoy your visit with your sisters. I'm going to look forward to seeing my son tomorrow. He's bringing his wife and my grandson Blush.

I'm feeling a bit more myself today. Thank you . Got a bit more energy. But I think that I've just got carried away and over did it. Just woken up on the settee and discovered that I've been asleep for the pastRoflour! Only wanted to catch my breath for five minutes before I prepared some lunch. ,Rofl

I'm thinking if you and hope you get sorted very soon.

    Hugs HuggingHugging xxx

  • Hi Thumper

My Oncologist came today and want me to stay in till Sunday just till everything is totally clear.

He also said my bloods are showing my white blood cells too high so he's going to cut my Filgrastim injections down to 4 for next chemo. I didnt argue with that one.

Havnt been to toilet since this morning so hoping that's settling now but will see how the night goes after dinner.

My sisters came and stayed for 2 hours and it was so good to see them.

Our anniversary is August too and 37 years is still a long time.

Glad you are feeling better and getting a bit more energy.

If you need to sleep just do that it's your bodies way of healing itself.

Enjoy your sons visit and will be lovely to see your grandson.

Sending love and hugs and hope everyone else are doing well. XxxHeartHeart

  • Hi Dee, everything went well today, got there for half 11, was out by half 2. Thankfully no reaction this time round but I was so anxious my heart rate went high again. Started coughing about 20 mins In, like I had a tickle in my throat but I couldn't shift it. I lost weight this time round not much thankfully, first time I've lost weight though.

Now home waiting for a shopping delivery so I can do my daughter a birthday lunch tomorrow (she's 3 today) as she's been out with her Dad all day with me being at hospital.

Oh Christina, I’m keeping my fingers crossed you have turned a corner now. It will be great to get home on Sunday and relax in your own bed. I’m jealous you only have to have 4 injections though…! I have 4 more to go with them which I’m counting down, although I’ve got a horrible feeling they come back again after my op! Scream I really hope not!!

Am not feeling too bad at the moment although I can feel my mouth “going”, just have to remember it’s not for long and then I can start to recover…

Hope everyone is ok and has a lovely weekend
