  1. Quick back story, Was diagnosed in sept 21  (after being misdiagnosed since April 21) mastectomy and SNB (1/3 positive) Nov 21 26mm invasive with a total of 92mm (non ivasive and invasive) was due to start chemo in the Jan 22 but my youngest DD got covid and then so did I, so chemo was deferred until Feb 22. Started chemotherapy last week, having 5FEC-T and then on the 4th cycle I will start Herceptin.
  2. Just really wanted some positive vibes tbh as although yes I know my cancer has a positive outcome at the end of all the treatments (consultant said 98% survival rate for the next 10 years), it is a very scary place to be especially when I have children at home and my partner lives elsewhere, it's harder that I am not allowed to bring anybody with me while I have the chemotherapy due to covid restrictions etc. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok. Thank you for reading x
  • Beat of Tizzy for tomorrow and reassuring to know, its the Docetaxol you start on.

  • Hi everyone.

Ive finally managed.to come.out of my chemo induce hibernation! I've done nothing but sleep! Felt so weak, exhausted and so so COLD for the last 4 or 5 days. Feel that it's finally lifting and I Slight smilen actually do a bit of pottering Slight smile

In the meantime it seems it's have been all go here.

Fantastic news on you tumour shrinkage Txl47. Well done Slight smile

Tizzy10 I hope all goes well for you on Friday. I'll be thinking if you..it's always the worst thing is not knowing how you'll react..just keep positive Hugging

Seaside, I hope you finally beat your thrush soon. It must be miserable for you. I think that you're very brave though, doing your injections yourself. I can't even bear to look!

I have to say that although I dreaded the injections ( my hubby had to do them) I think that they've helped...and so far Fingers crossed I haven't actually felt any pain from them.

Well done DeeDee54 on getting your first chemo done too. It must be a bit a relief to get the first one done...more idea what to expect next time.

Well I hope everyone has a good day, and able to make the most of the good weather (if it is where you are....bit too cold for me still)

Sending all positive vibes and hugs HuggingRelaxed️ xxx

  • Hi Thumper. Glad you are coming out the other end and can start pottering more and enjoy your next few days.

Thrush still here but it is getting better. Although think the meds are affecting my tum as had a couple of bouts of diarrhoea today but took imodeum and calmed. No temperature and feel okay so hopefully by tomorrow will feel more like myself.

  • Constipation and a bloated tummy here now,any tips?x

  • Hi Dee. I find cooled boiled water helps to settle my tum. Just drink loads of water to help with constipation.

Just hope things settle for you and you get some relief.

Sending hugs and positive thoughts for a good sleep. Take care xxx HeartRainbow

  • Id rather the opposite i think im so uncomfterable.

    Sleep well too Heartx

  • Hi DeeDee

I had constipation too. I found it hard to drink much because it made my nauseous worse, bit drinking a lot if fluids is said to help. I had to take Fybogel in the end and that seemed to do the trick. So if nothing happens try that...it's very gentle.

    Good luck.

    Take care xx
