So I'm starting chemo in another week or so and going for all the scans, blood tests, dental care etc. Really not looking forward to it. As an energetic and active person I hate the thought of feeling tired and poorly.
Also I have long hair - right down my back. I'm considering cold cap treatment but have yet to talk it through with the chemo team. Can anyone talk me through it or maybe give their own experiences of it.
Is it worth a try? Does it work better if I cut my hair short first? Or does it work with long hair?
Would love to hear your comments, advice or experiences.
Hi
Started my chemo on 10th Feb along with the cold cap. I was worried that as I didn't find painful, uncomfortable etc it wasn't working! However, after reading the replies you have had I feel a little more confident . There's so much going on that you're not really focussing on the coldness I guess?
Good luck
