Mastectomy Bra

Hi. 

I'm sending you a massive virtual hug. The waiting is awful I know. Just do whatever you can to distract yourself  and relax as best you can.

The night before my surgery I just told myself that this time tomorrow the surgery will be done and I'll be on my way to getting better.

Thanks. Yes I think I didn’t have to wear one because I haven’t gone for reconstruction.  Think it’s helpful for those who are.

I hope so. I have the dye injection at 9 sm in one hospital then travel to a different hospital for my op. I don't know my surgery time, sometime after lunch x

Did they say you have to stay a night? Yours is a bit like mine, 11am injection, then 1pm check in for op. I didn't get to OT till 5.30pm. They say those who go last they expect less complications I guess but you're left with a long time waiting around.

Claud272, thank you so so much. It's almost midnight on one of the longest days of my life so far. Right now I feel a whopping great sense of relief and much less discomfort than I expected. I am feeling safe and well looked after in hospital and happy that all my loved ones can have a restful night xxx

That’s brilliant - I remember that feeling it was such a relief it was done - anticipation is definitely our enemy in this process - waiting and wondering. Now you can work on healing. I’ve got lots of cording in my armpit so do the exercises religiously
