Hello. Is anyone able to advise me on a comfortable bra for after my surgery please? I have tried Macom's Signature Bra and Marks & Spencer's Flexifit Post Surgery Full Cup Bra. Neither are comfortable for me and I don't know where else to try. I have my surgery on 20 DEC so there's not a lot of time. Thanks in advance for any advice x

    • Thank you. I think I will try going up a size as you did and hope for the best x
  • Hi. Thank you. I saw that Julia Bradbury recommended this brand but when I checked online it seemed they didnt offer refunds, although I might be wrong x

  • I’ve just been out in my ‘Francis’ with my new boob to a Christmas carol service. Felt weird but OK. Haven’t had a bra on for six weeks since mastectomy - relied on Gilets and scarves!

i was offered a session with an expert - think she was from a different bra company. Tried on a tonne but only this one felt bearable against the wound (will probably be better in a month or two).

    so I’d recommend it x

  • Thank you. That's the 2nd recommendation for Amoena's Francis.bra.

That's interesting that you didn't wear a bra for 6 weeks. I think I've been told I will need to live in one for the first 6-8 weeks??

Glad you found one that worked for you x

Had single mastectomy and just wore marks and spencer sleep bra found the comfy and fit the temporary comfy the BCN will give u to come out of hospital with x

  • I started with Tu Sainsbury range, Seamless Stretch Zip Front Crop Top for £9 -  easy to use as front zipped and comfy...post op it was difficult with movement. Buy a size up to factor in swelling, I didn't but I am small and swelling went down quite quickly. Used initially with softie.

Then later Nicola Jane (free returns but more expensive) when I have more movement and this fits prosthesis better.
