Hello. Is anyone able to advise me on a comfortable bra for after my surgery please? I have tried Macom's Signature Bra and Marks & Spencer's Flexifit Post Surgery Full Cup Bra. Neither are comfortable for me and I don't know where else to try. I have my surgery on 20 DEC so there's not a lot of time. Thanks in advance for any advice x
Haveacuppa thank you too. Oh yes the exercises. I will take your advice, thank you. My plan is to get whomever I'm with (mum/boyfriend) to do it with me at least to start with!! Yes, I can now focus my attention on healing. That is such a positive thought after the last 2 months x
Lovely to hear your OK, let the hospital take care of u. I also rber the sense of huge relief afterwards.
It may be uncomfy for a bit, but nothing you cannot handle...now your mission is to rest recuperate and get your movement going, follow the exercises when get told when discharged fr hospital
Take care, pleased it all went really well with the op

This is a good sign?? Lol
How you feeling today? You will feel much better getting to go home. How you managing with drains, pain and all?
I felt awful initially needing the help of nurses to go toilet. Thinking of you and cheering u on as you go home today

Hello Claud272
I'm a bit up and down to be honest. I only had an hours sleep at most so I'm just exhausted and emotional. I've had an immediate implant so I stay a 2nd night in hospital and hopefully home tomorrow.
It's a strange feeling being here alone. I'm in a 4 bed bay but I'm the only patient. After feeling quite good yday I spent much of the night with silent tears streaming. All kinds of thoughts buzzing as well as an overwhelming relief that the op was over.
I know what you mean about asking the nurses for help. I had to ask for 4 bed pans during the night as they seemed to be pumping me with so much fluid!!
Anyway, back to trying to focus on healing and hopefully a bit more sleep tonight. Thanks for asking after me
Hey
Hope you've caught up with some sleep? Your pattern may be disrupted as in hospital, what with the beeping noises, nurse checks etc.
You've just had a major op...your emotions are bound to be all over the place. It's also partly coming to accept all that has happened to you too.
Did you get some food? Important to eat. To kick start your appetite but start small and gradually build it up. You need to get strength back. Do u have the Tens socks? Hope you'll get nice food there.
Keep focused on the healing and you will be fine.

I bought a Sloggi bra from M&S having also tried the others to no avail. It has no fastenings, accommodates an ‘ insert’ , washes like a dream, is easy to put on and off, does not irritate my skin, looks and feels ‘normal’ and I would definitely buy it again. Only issue is that there is no VAT discount and is expensive at £33 . I would also recommend that you try it on to get the right size at first. Also the same item is discounted on the Sloggi website. Hope this helps?
I found it rather challenging to find something that works well and feels comfortable, especially with not a lot of time before the surgery. I can recommend checking out a company called Royce. They specialize in post-surgery bras and have a good reputation for comfort. It's worth considering, even if they are a little more expensive. I personally got a good experience with Nuttch online shop. I got my mastectomy bra and Loose Fitting Panties from them and have been very happy with the quality and comfort. They have a good selection of post-surgery clothing, so it might be worth taking a look. I hope this helps and that you're able to find something that works well for you.
