Hi everyone
has anyone experienced this wretched back pain that feels like someone is drilling through your back with what feels like spasms
i ve just had my 3 Med cycle of Doxi and PT .. day 5 today post and on filgastrim injections for 5 days… I believe this combo gives one bone pain..
i had pain on the first 2 cycles but could manage it with codeine and paracetamol and hot water bottles
this time.. the pain is so bad such that it makes feel like my back will fall apart
I have spoken to the acute team… they are sending me oramorph… am I just being a whimp? I didn’t think it would ever lead to oramorph
i can’t even walk straight… I stooping
any tips ?
Hi Shazam… YES !! The pain from filgrastim was horrific. I felt as if it was a strong pulsating pulse in lower back to around abdomen, shooting up to my chest. All due to the injection. I was told it’s the bigger bones in the body you can get pain as bone marrow making more blood cells. It lasted about 3 days each time I started the injection. I had to take 30/500 cocodamol and brufen which really helped. Also an antihistamine also helped. Hope you get it sorted x
Hi Hmfm
thankyou so much for your response
The pain was much less the 1st 3days as I ve been taking loratidine an hour before the injection… I thought I cracked the code but obviously not️ I ve had some oromorph and taking regular paracetamol and codeine … it feels slightly better than earlier… I hope all settles down in the next 24-48hrs … this journey is very trying but I am looking ahead and trusting God for o the end game -healing and restoration
Thankyou everyone and gnite xx
Hi Shaz-t - I sympathise with you - I really struggled with the pain from those injections as well! . I used to get pain in my joints even shoulder blades and spasms in my legs. My legs almost gave way a few times. It was also worse some cycles than others - I don’t know why but pain eased as soon as I stopped taking them thank goodness. I had co-codomal for pain relief which helped but they made me drowsy. Hope the Oramorph helps. You are being no wimp!
