COVID between chemo cycles

Hi all,

did anyone had COVID in between chemo cycles?

I am after 2nd EC chemo, now I have COVID on top of that, and really struggling ( really tired, but in the night I can’t sleep as my nasal ways are completely blocked, I have to blow my nose all the time, very high temperature at times, since last night I have really bad cough as well, my bones are on pain).

How did you cope guys if you went trough it as well?

Hi Lucaha welcome to the forum and sorry to hear how low that you are feeling.

You need to make contact with 111 and explain to them about the Chemo as well as the Covid and get advise from them asap.

You are very susceptible to acute infections with Chemo and they need to know to enable them to treat you as required.

Called 111, ended up in hospital, straight away on antibiotics, blood, X-ray, staying over night at least, hopefully home tomorrow if better.

I was wondering how you are. COVID + chemo sounds a horrible combo. I hope the hospital have got you stabilised now. All the best
